# Cisco UCS HyperFlex
> Cisco UCS HyperFlex is a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) platform that unifies compute, storage, and networking into a single system. It was developed to simplify data center operations by combining Cisco UCS servers with a specialized software-defined storage layer originally acquired from Springpath. In 2023, Cisco announced the sunsetting of the HyperFlex line in transition toward a partnership with Nutanix.
