Description Brand's website · 2026-10-04
The Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC) was a non-profit society constituted under the BC Societies Act in 1995, primarily funded by the City of Vancouver. It aimed to competitively position Vancouver in the global market and supported local industries such as film, digital, entertainment, innovation, clean technology, e-sports, and circular economy business communities through research, investment attraction, and program delivery. As of September 2023, the VEC began winding down its operations, with its key functions being integrated under the direct oversight of the Vancouver City Manager's Office.
